Best Places to Work drawing a strong stream of nominees

The number of companies nominated in the annual Best Places to Work competition in Northern Nevada this year ran well ahead of its level last year. In all, 90 companies were nominated before the Feb. 10 deadline.

A year ago, 39 companies were finalists in the competition. Not all nominated companies complete the screening process to become finalists. Quantum Workplace will survey employees at participating companies from mid-February through mid-March. The awards are based entirely on the results of the survey.

Winners will be recognized at an event on April 26.

Sponsors of Best Places to Work include Northern Nevada Human Resources Association, Truckee Meadows Community College, The Chamber, the Carson City Chamber of Commerce and Northern Nevada Business Weekly.
