Woodrow W. Cave passed away peacefully in his sleep after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Woody was born in New Bloomfield, Missouri, to Marcellus and Beulah Cave on September 20, 1916. He was preceded in death by his wife, Roberta E. Cave, in 2001.
At the age of 21, he acquired his California contractor's license. In 1939, he was asked by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to construct facilities at their Ruby Marshes headquarters. In 1941, he received his State of Nevada's contractor's license which he kept active more than 60 years.
He is survived by his five children, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, five sisters and two brothers.
His ashes will be interned at the family plot in Missouri. There will be no local services.
