Ghosts: Boarders at the Ormsby House created a sensation at about 2 o'clock a.m. when they rushed through the halls yelling "Ghosts" and awakened every one in the house. Several valiant boarders armed with shooting irons descended to the designed locality and found Charley Sharp perambulating in his night shirt with a revolver in hand trying to shoot a lot of invisible, howling cats.

At present that no more trout will be eaten by people on the Carson river below the Mexican mill because at that point the slum and refuse from the stamps flow into the river after passing through a system of quicksilver... Restoration of the Mackay mansion in Virginia City has been unveiled before the Nevada State Park Commission. Owner, C. J. Duggan, said he would be willing to sell the structure for $25,000 to some non-profit corporation which in turn would donate it to the state. The building was originally built for mine superintendent John Mackay.
