Marie RoseAnna (Perard) Brown-Howland, 90, of Pendleton died on Monday, June 4, 2012 at a local care facility.
Marie was born in Pendleton, Oregon on March 17, 1922 to Paul and Ida (Martin) Perard. She attended high school at St. Joseph Academy in Pendleton.
Marie married Jackson Brown on August 20, 1950 in The Dalles, Oregon. She worked at the US Bank in the 1940's. She then moved to La Grande, Oregon with her husband and worked at a medical clinic. They eventually moved to Carson City, Nevada where they lived for twenty years. While there, she worked at First Federal Savings and Loan. After retiring in 1983, they moved back to Pendleton. Jack passed away after 54 years of marriage. Marie married Robert Jack Howland in Pendleton, Oregon on January 18, 2002. They were married for 6 years before he died in 2008.
My mom lived a fulfilling life. She did volunteer work at St. Anthony's Hospital, Roundup Hall of Fame and the Historical Society in Pendleton. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Marie was preceded in death by both her husbands; her parents, Paul and Ida Perard, and her brothers and sisters, Gilbert, Pauline, Laura, Addy, Raoul, Rene and Johnny.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Terney and her husband Raphael of Pendleton; grandson, Kenn Kanter of California; nephews, Geoff Parks of Salem, Oregon and Greg Parks of California; nieces, April Waldroop of Salem, Oregon, Lynn Frederickson of Salem, Oregon and Tammy Jones of Eugene, Oregon; and several great nieces and nephews.
