City National Bank Appoints Burdick
to Northern Nevada Advisory Board
City National Bank, Nevada's Premier Private and Business Bank, has made Linda Burdick a member of its Northern Nevada Advisory Board. Burdick is a well-known and prominent member of the area business community. She and her husband, Randy, own and run Burdick Excavating Co. out of the Carson City area.

Burdick serves as a board member or volunteer for several trade and nonprofit organizations. She has been involved with the Susan G. Komen Foundation and has been a fundraising chair for North Tahoe High School, the University of Massachusetts Hospital, and will soon help Kids and Horses in Minden.
The bank has six other prominent business professionals serving on its advisory board in Northern Nevada. They are Jeff Shaheen, advisory board chair and managing partner of Shaheen Beauchamp Builders; Bill Leonesio, retired banking executive; Chris Gonfiantini, owner/broker, Alpine Insurance Agency; Scott Tate, owner/operator of several local casinos; Randy Kuckenmeister, CPA/owner, KBCA, LLC; and Collie Hutter, co-owner and chief operations officer of Click Bond.

RESNET HERS rater training course set for late March
A RESNET HERS rater certificate training course will be held March 26-29 at the Builders Association of Northern Nevada 5484 Reno Corporate Drive, Reno, NV 89511. Class instruction, course materials and certificate of completion are included in the complimentary course. Class time is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A certification exam is optional, and the testing fee is $250.
With RESNET certification you will be prepared to become a licensed energy auditor and participate in state and local incentive programs, including ENERGY STAR Homes. HERS rater training provides you with the knowledge to perform home energy ratings, a key part of the energy audit process.

McNutt to join sales, marketing team for Holiday Inn Express
Terrie McNutt has been hired as regional director of sales and marketing for the Holiday Inn Express & Suites properties in Minden, Carson City, Reno and Winnemucca. She will be based at the Carson City property. McNutt has worked in sales, marketing and hospitality positions in northern Nevada for more than 35 years.
Hill to speak at joint meeting of NNDA, Yerington City Council
The Northern Nevada Development Authority (NNDA) has requested that Lyon County host a joint meeting with the Yerington City Council to meet with Steve Hill, director-Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED).
Hill will be presenting information on the role of GOED and where economic development is going in the state of Nevada. The joint meeting will be held March 27 at 9 a.m. at the Lyon County Administrative Complex, 27 Nevin Way, Yerington.
