JOIN offers free Employment Preparation Workshops
Carson City JOIN will offer four classes on employment preparation beginning Tuesday, May 15, through Friday, May 18. There will be one class each day from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Tuesday that will focus on life skills; Wednesday is how to apply marketing principles when selling your abilities and experience to an employer; Thursday is on resume-building; and Friday is on interviewing skills.

Mutual of Omaha Bank appoints Sullivan
Mutual of Omaha Bank has appointed Kevin P. Sullivan as market president for Reno and Carson City.
Based out of the bank's location at 6275 Neil Road in Reno, Sullivan will lead the strategic growth and management of Mutual of Omaha Bank's operations in Northern Nevada, including three community bank locations that offer full-service banking to individuals and businesses throughout the Reno and Carson City markets.
A third generation native of Reno, Sullivan brings 26 years of banking experience to Mutual of Omaha Bank. He most recently served as an executive officer and corporate banking manager for a Nevada-based bank, where he also led small-business lending and commercial lending efforts.
"We are honored to have someone of Kevin's caliber join our team and I have great confidence in his ability to lead our Reno and Carson City markets for years to come," said Scott Emmer, Nevada state president for Mutual of Omaha Bank.
Sullivan earned his bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Nevada, Reno, and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington in Seattle.
