Patricia Ann (Wich) Anderson, 78, of Minden, Nevada, passed away April 19, 2012 in Carson City, NV after a brief illness.

She was born in Pittsfield, MA on March 14, 1934, to Kenneth Wich and Doris Zauche Wich. She attended Pittsfield schools and graduated from high school in 1952. She was first employed at the General Electric Co., Pittsfield, MA. Patricia was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Women's Army Corps from September 30, 1954 until her honorable discharge on April 13, 1956. After her discharge Pat headed west and met John Robert Anderson in the ski club of Hughes Aircraft Company, where they both worked. Pat and Bob were married on Sept. 6, 1958 in Santa Monica, CA. Their three children, Linda, Eric and Kristin were raised with a lot of open space and a wide variety of unusual pets. The family had homes in Malibu, CA, Annandale, VA and Mountain View, CA as Bob pursued his dream of a career as an aerospace engineer.

Pat set a wonderful example of responsibility to family and service to others. She was caretaker for her mother and stepfather, Doris and Larry Szymczyk. Bob and Pat retired to Minden, Nevada in 2006.

Pat is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert Anderson; her brother, Kenneth Wich of Earlton, NY; her children and their spouses, Linda and Reid Slayden, Eric and Cheryl Anderson, Kristin Anderson and George Duncan; six grandchildren: Brandon Anderson and wife Chelsee, Andrew Anderson and wife Mariah, Sherrie Anderson, Jamie Showalter, Emma Anderson, Gary Showalter; and nieces and nephews.

Patricia was a great lady who constantly thought of others into her last days and we miss her tremendously.
