Strange events at Episcopal sociable (continued from Thursday): Two games of whist were started. Among the gentlemen were Judge Hawley and Jasper Babcock at one table and Judge Sabin and Parson Davis at the other. The game progressed for about one deal, and it was noticed that the players began to eye each other with suspicion and then came a frigid sort of atmosphere. Mr. Babcock took a trick with an ace of the same denomination which Judge Hawley had played only a few minutes before, and it was the fifth ace played. "I trust," said the Judge with studied dignity, "that the style of card playing in vogue at the Capitol building will not be introduced at a church sociable."

Presbyterian ladies: Do not fail to take in the supper prepared by the Presbyterian ladies at the Odd Fellow's Hall... baked beans, brown bread, salads and lots of other good things will be found on the bill of fare. For the evening a good program is being prepared. Admission free, supper 50 cents.

Tearing up rails of Nevada copper belt: It was announced in Yerington that 14 miles of the Nevada Copper Belt Railroad running from Wabuska and the Thompson smelter and the spur from Hudson to Ludwig is being torn up and consigned to the U.S. Engineers' office for placing to various government projects. They were laid during 1910 and 1911 to transport copper ore from the mines...
