Fundis Trucking will soon open its satellite facility in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center intended to service its key client located in the park, Randa Corporation. “Our new plant will primarily work with the international firm of Randa Corp., moving out shipments of finished products and bringing in the raw materials for the manufacture of its products,” said Fundis President Ed Meyer. ”Once the facility is completed we will have 10 to 15 trucks operating from there.”Following the installation of the petroleum-fueling center, the Sparks-based firm, which also does business as NevCal Trucking, expects to have its new facility in operation by the end of the year.Randa Corporation operates from a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility and produces goods that include belts, wallets, neckwear, leather goods, luggage products, casual bags, backpacks, business cases and gifts for men, women and children. It offers its products through a network of retailers worldwide. Fundis is a family business founded 50 years ago. It hauls containers from the Port of Oakland, Calif., to Reno, Sparks and other areas in Northern Nevada. Company trucks also deliver finished products with numerous daily trips to Northern Nevada and the San Francisco Bay area.
