George Kenneth Beatie passed away Nov. 22, 2012 at his residence in Carson City, Nev. George was born Nov. 23, 1941 in Glendale, Calif. to Eugene and Katherine Beatie. He was a teacher for over thirty years at Coolidge Elementary School in San Gabriel, Calif. starting out as a fifth grade instructor and later becoming vice principle. He also coached after school sports. During the summer months he worked as a compliance officer for the U.S. Forest Service at Mammoth Lakes, Calif. for thirty-nine years. George loved the great outdoors, especially fishing.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of forty-one years, Joan L. Beatie; son, Richard Beatie; daughters, Juli Costanzo, Robbi Kohler and Kim Jones; his six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
No services are scheduled at this time.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of final arrangements.
