Donald R. Albus, 84, passed away October 1, 2012 in Carson City, Nev. Don was born April 27, 1928 in Easton, Pa. to Raymond and Marie Albus. He started his career as a young electrical engineer in Willow Grove, Pa. at Philco-Ford Electronics. He later transferred to Palo Alto, Calif. with what had become Ford Aerospace. He retired after forty years with the company in 1990. Don and his wife, Alyce, moved to Carson City, Nev. from San Jose, Calif. in 2008. He enjoyed working with wood and building furniture. His last project was crafting a Grandfather's clock.
Don was preceded in death by one son, Andrew Albus who passed away in 2002.
He is survived by his loving wife, Alyce of Carson City, Nev. They were married in 1954. A daughter, Dawn Rosenberg (Mel) of Genoa, Nev.; sister, Rose Marie Jaffe of Kingston, Pa.; also two grandchildren, Alexa and Jackie Rosenberg.
There will be a Memorial Mass for Donald on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11:00am at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Carson City, Nev.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of final arrangements.
