(Continued from Friday) The Exchange is a neat coup d'etat invented by Mr. Hall. Two riders meet at a speed of 25 miles an hour and when the wheels clash, each man turns a somersault in the air and comes down on the other man's bicycle. After this both bicycles are sent to the nearest watchmaker for rest and repairs. Next week the bicycle club will give an exhibition of some new and startling combinations.

Tonight at the Governor's Mansion there will be harvest moon entertainment and the public is invited to attend. Old-fashioned cider and cakes will be served.

Ramblin' Rufe, who manages his manganese prospect, has admitted to becoming a bit obtuse lately. Up at the mine the other day a big stout lady parked her Cadillac near his "Lena" and asked about a road up the canyon. "Can I walk up this road to the ranger station?" she asked. "I guess so," he replied. "A load of hay just went through."

Nevada's adjutant general said the state's national guardsmen are "ready to move" in case the Cuban situation erupts. Nevadans appear to be taking this crisis calmer than the Berlin situation a year ago when many sought information on fallout shelters.

Superintendent Bob Scott said he would look for alternatives to laying off teachers' aides after more than 200 teachers, aides and parents attended a school board meeting in protest.

The allergy season has hit. Sagebrush, ragweed and tumbleweed have caused more symptoms this fall than any other season. Hay fever sufferers will have to put up with it until the second frost.
