RENO - McQueen knocked off Carson in straight sets - 25-18, 25-22, 25-20 -in a Division I crossover volleyball match.
Coach Robert Maw was frustrated at his team's inability to pass the ball cleanly. Maw said his team made 50 unforced errors in the three games, and the passing percentage was only 2.03.
"I don't care who you play, you can't make 50 unforced errors against anybody," Maw said. "We barely got the ball to the setter sometimes.
"The first game they went on a 12-0 service run, and that kind of set the tone for the rest of the match. We just couldn't break the serve. I thought Courtney (Hack), Kenzie (Price) and Savannah (Smith) played well."
Smith had six kills and four digs, Danielle Good had six kills and a dig and Courtney Hack had 19 assists and two digs. Kammy Forrest chipped in five kills and four blocks, while Price had three kills, two blocks and a dig. Brooklyn Maw finished with a team-leading eight digs.
Douglas swept by Reno
Despite 10 kills and 10 digs by Shawnee McFadden, Douglas was swept by Reno 25-21, 25-18 and 25-22.
The loss dropped Douglas to 5-9 overall and 1-5 against Division I opponents.
Ariah Barth also had 10 digs for the Tigers, while Shelby Van Winkle had nine digs to go along with 13 assists and four kills. Maddy Strauss had two kills, five digs and four assists.
