Nevada artists will share their work at the second annual Nevada Expressions Show and Sale to raise money to protect the Virginia City National Historic Landmark.
The exhibit will be displayed April 20-21 at the Sierra Arts Gallery in the Riverside Hotel in downtown Reno. The show will move to Carson City’s Great Basin Art Gallery, 110 S. Carson St., April 26-27.
Wally Cuchine, retired director of the Eureka Opera House and collector of Nevada art, will present at the artists reception from 4 to 7 p.m. April 20 in Reno, as will most of the artists represented in the show. Great Basin Art Gallery will hold an artists reception from 4 to 7 p.m. April 26 and will exhibit from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 27.
“This is an opportunity to see recent work from 25 of the most prominent contemporary Nevada artists all in one place,” said Robin Cobbey, board chairman of the Comstock Residents Association, sponsor of the event. “It’s really one of the premiere art events in the state.”
Paintings predominate, but other media will feature.
