Former District Judge Clark Guild calls the death of judge John R. Ross “a terrible shock to the people of the state.” Ross passed away of a heart attack while serving at a federal courthouse in Portland, Ore.

Nevada’s five largest for-profit hospitals will be allowed to raise rates they charge by a maximum of 6 percent.
