Our regular Chinatown item is almost completed. We refer to, of course, to the stone building erected under the supervision of Ah Kuree. It is ready for a roof and is getting plastered. It is going to be a right handsome little chebang.

J.D. Roberts, one of the real old timers of this section has just received notice of a signal of honor. He received word from the National Headquarters at Denver that he has been elected a member of the National Committee of the Order of Indian War Veterans. He is the last remaining Indian War Veteran in Nevada.

Members of Custer Corps 15 of the Women’s Relief Corps honored Mrs. Fannie Blackie on her 88th birthday. Members of the corps sang happy birthday to Aunt Fan and presented her with many cards and gifts.

A state highway department employee has been suspended in Goldfield for using state equipment to repair a frozen water line at his home.
