Carson City Road Report for Aug. 12-18, 2013

The following applies to Aug. 12-18:

On Thursday and Friday, the inside lanes in both directions on William Street will be closed from just east of Rand Avenue to just west of the interchange with the Carson City Freeway.

On Tuesday, the outside eastbound lane on Fairview Drive will be closed between Roop Street and Industrial Park Drive during the early-morning hours. The lane is expected to reopen by 7 a.m.

There will be work on the south shoulder of U.S. Highway 50 between Airport Road and Fairview Drive. No delays are expected.

The following road closures will occur due to special events.

On Thursday, Curry Street will be closed from Spear Street to Robinson Street from 3-7 p.m.

Third Street will be closed from Carson Street to Curry Street from 2 p.m. Friday through 8 a.m. Aug. 18.

Due to continued construction of the Carson City Freeway project, the following road closures are in effect. Detours are signed.

Snyder Avenue between East Roland Street and Center Drive.

Center Drive and Silver Sage Drive south of Appion Way.

Bennett Avenue between Ponderosa Drive and Bigelow Drive.

Bigelow Drive has been permanently closed between Bennett Avenue and Roland Street, and there may be periods of temporary closures between Roland Street and Appion Way.

Frontage Road has been permanently closed from Arthur Street to just south of Snyder Avenue. Access will be maintained for businesses and residences.

The intersection of Dat-So-La-Lee Way and Snyder Avenue will be closed for reconstruction. Local residents are advised to access Dat-So-La-Lee Way from the south via Clear Creek Avenue.
