Trayvon was racially profiled; history irrelevant in his death

In response to Sanford Deyo’s letter giving details on Trayvon Martin’s history, I say Trayvon’s history had nothing to do with the fact that he was shot and killed while walking home from the store. He was not committing any crime, nor was he breaking any law. He was profiled and killed by a wannabe policeman!

Abortion an ongoing crime beyond Holocaust’s scope

I would like to applaud Mary Santomauro in Stagecoach for her excellent letter in the paper the other day. However, I thought it didn’t go far enough. “Thou should not murder” would be more direct and to the point.

I relate the act of abortion to the Holocaust. This terrible blight on humanity cost the Jewish race from 5-7 million lives. Abortion for the last 40-50 years has cost humanity ten times that many lives. I don’t believe it is the woman’s right over her own body to kill a life anymore than it would be my right to take my life. If I continuously attempted to, I would end up in a mental institution even though I might have an incurable cancer living inside me.

It is true that ever since abortions have been legal, human life has been cheapened. The many killings shown in the paper have shown this to be the case. If we continue this practice, our human race will die out and it will be our fault.
