Great Basin offers pilot ground school class

Great Basin College in Elko plans to offer a pilot’s ground school class this fall.

Students will study Federal Aviation Administration regulations, aircraft systems, aerodynamics, flight instruments and such things as airport and air traffic rules as well as weather, map reading and navigation.

The class will be offered Tuesday evenings beginning Aug. 27. AV110 will cost $285 plus applicable fees and materials.

The class does not include actual flight instruction.
