Carson man to discuss book about daughter

Carson City businessman Steve Browne will discuss his memoir about his daughter, “How to Raise a Rocket Scientist,” from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 27 in Marlette Hall at Western Nevada College.

According to a news release:

His daughter Katie May was born with cerebral palsy and went on to graduate at the top of her class at the University of Nevada, Reno. The 2006 Carson High School graduate now works for NASA, and she’s scheduled to appear at the lecture.

The lecture is sponsored by the Disability Awareness Coalition along with WNC, Truckee Meadows Community College and UNR.
