A 21-year-old Incline Village man was arrested on charges of trespassing and attempted burglary after he allegedly entered a house on Utah Street, startling a woman who was alone in the home with her baby.
Jeremy Hansen allegedly knocked on the door of the house and, when there was no answer, entered an unlocked garage and then walked into the kitchen from the garage, according to the arrest report.
The victim said the man seemed surprised to see her and claimed he had permission from her husband to get a tool out of the garage. The man then allegedly walked away, at a quick pace.
Deputies who went to Hansen's residence said he stated he was the husband's friend, but the husband said he "does not even know him," according to the report.
Hansen's bail was set at $20,242.
