Douglas County Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects responsible for several burglaries early Tuesday.Sgt. Pat Brooks said Thursday the suspects committed burglaries at four locations in Carson Valley including a commercial burglary at the Genoa Bar, two burglaries at unoccupied homes in a residential neighborhood in Genoa, and several vehicle burglaries at two Gardnerville auto repair shops.Evidence recovered at the various scenes lead investigators to believe the burglaries are likely related, and were committed by at least two suspects working together, Brooks said.Surveillance video obtained from a business adjacent to one of the auto repair shops revealed that at approximately 4:17 a.m. on Tuesday, a man is walking around a security fence outside the location. He appears to be checking for an entry point onto the secured property. The suspect is described as a white male, age 20s to 30s, 5 feet, 10 inches tall-to-6 feet tall, with a large heavy-set build and brown short-cropped hair. He is wearing a dark jacket and light pants, possibly jeans.Surveillance video from the Genoa Bar revealed that at approximately 5:08 a.m. Tuesday, two subjects forced entry into the building. They are seen rummaging around various locations within the building. One of the suspects in the Genoa Bar burglary appears similar to the subject seen in the area of the vehicle burglaries committed in Gardnerville. The second man is described as a white male, unknown age, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches-to-5 feet, 11inches tall , wearing a white-hooded sweatshirt, dark baseball-style cap, and dark pants, possibly jeans.Property stolen from the various burglaries includes a cash register drawer and portable electronic items.
