Prayer vigil set for Monday

ACTIONN is hosting a Stop the Gun Violence prayer vigil at the Nevada State Capitol on Monday. A gathering will take place at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, on Division and Telegraph streets. The gathering will be followed by a short walk to the Capitol at noon.From noon to 12:45 p.m., the public is invited to join members of area Carson City and Washoe County faith communities when prayers will be offered, a litany shared, names of gun violence victims recited, and a call for an end to gun violence made.
