Rosemary Genevieve Keller (Hall), 90, passed away Jan. 27, 2013 at Carson Nursing and Rehab Center following an injury on Dec. 30, 2012. Rosemary was born March 13, 1922 to Lida and Herman Hall in Overland, Mo., the fourth of seven children.
"Rose" was raised in St. Louis, Mo., and moved to Idaho in 1941, where she met and later married Jay W. Keller on Nov. 23, 1944. The Keller family moved from Idaho to Nevada in 1965 and became Carson City residents in 1966.
She was preceded in death by Jay, her husband of 56 years in 2000. She is survived by two brothers: Herman "Shorty" Hall of Idaho, and Gerald "Jerry" Hall of Washington; four children: sons, Jay W. (Jr.), Charles F. of Carson City, Russell L. of Olathe, Kan., and daughter, Kathleen (Devenport) of Carson City; nine grandchildren (Wendy, Charles, Lida, Gina, Kimberly, KayCee, Tracy, Jodi and Hillary); 15 great- grandchildren, two great-great grand children and numerous nieces and nephews.
Baking was Rose's favorite thing to do, and she enjoyed delivering trays of cookies and candies to her family and friends on holidays. Rose spent most of her life as a homemaker and worked occasionally at JC Penny, OARC Thrift Shop, and other Carson City businesses, but her true devotion was to her family.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday Jan. 30th at FitzHenry's Funeral Home, 3945 Fairview Dr. Carson City, NV.
