Two fawns hide in the bushes at the rear steps of the state Capitol on Thursday morning. Their mom, who kept a cautious eye on the photographer from 10 feet away, has brought the pair to the relative safety of the Capitol grounds for the past four days since predators are unlikely to brave the trek through urban Carson City.
