Obituary: Deann Dodson

April 7, 1945 - July 25, 2013

Deann passed away on July 25th at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital in Salt Lake City after her long and courageous battle with multiple myeloma.

She was born in Reno and graduated from Sparks High School. She worked as a dental assistant throughout her life. Deann was a special person, fiercely loyal to her family, friends and her faith. Anyone who knew her appreciated the wit and wisdom she possessed. She was an avid reader and gifted gardener, who loved and appreciated the beauty nature offers.

Deann is survived by her husband, Jim Dodson; son, David Dodson; daughter, Sarah Wood; brothers, Larry and Gary Hauder and sister, Neilda Kellison.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on August 3, 2013 at the LDS Stake Center, 411 N. Saliman Rd. in Carson City. Services will be followed by a grave dedication at Eastside Memorial Park Cemetery at 1600 Buckeye Rd. in Minden. Walton’s Chapel of the Valley is assisting with the arrangements.
