Carson City Road Report for June 3-9, 2013

The following applies to Monday through June 9:

Due to continued construction of the Carson City Freeway project, Snyder Avenue is closed between East Roland Street and Center Drive. Center and Silver Sage drives are also closed south of Appion Way. Bennett Avenue is closed between Ponderosa and Bigelow drives. Beginning Monday, Bigelow Drive will be permanently closed between Roland Street and Bennett Avenue. Detours will be marked.

Monday: There will be lane closures with flagger-controlled traffic on Fairview Drive from Fifth Street to Edmonds Drive. Delays are expected.

Monday: Marian Avenue will be closed from Beverly Drive to Long Street. Detours will be marked.

Tuesday: Thames Lane will be closed from Bristol Place to Waterford Place. Detours will be marked.

Wednesday and Thursday: Longview Way will be closed from Waterford Place to Coventry Drive. Detours will be marked.

There will be road work at the following locations; no delays are expected.

Long Street between Roop Street and Molly Drive.

Long Street between Humboldt Lane and Rand Avenue.

Nye Lane between Hot Springs Road and Northgate Lane.

Lane closures due to utility work for various projects will occur on the following roads. Minor delays are possible.

Wednesday: Hot Springs Road from Tiger Drive to Roop Street.

Thursday: Carson Street from Washington Street to Hot Springs Road.

Friday: Carson Street from Musser Street to Third Street.

Monday-Friday: College Parkway from Market Street to Roop Street.

Monday-Friday: Woodcrest Lane from Colorado Street to Heather Lane.

Monday-Friday: Jefferson Drive from Madison Drive to Farady Circle.

Friday: Third Street will be closed from Carson Street to Curry Street from 1:30-11:30 p.m. for a special event.
