Carson man’s bail nearly $8K in burglary, sex-offender case

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• 1:48 p.m.: Gerardo Magallon, 24, of Carson City was arrested in the 1200 block of Woodside Drive on suspicion of intimidating a public officer, making threats, disorderly conduct and criminal contempt. Bail was set at $11,050. A 19-year-old Carson City man also was arrested, on suspicion of making threats, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $1,650.

• 7:13 a.m.: A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested at Fifth Street and Saliman Road on a violation-of-a-suspended-sentence warrant. Bail was set at $3,000.

• 11:40 p.m.: A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 1400 block of Rand Avenue on a warrant out of Reno. No bail was set.

• 4:45 p.m.: A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested at the Carson City Jail on two failure-to-appear traffic warrants. Bail was set at $384.

• 9:13 p.m.: Dana Debord, 35, of Carson City was arrested in the 300 block of Springview Drive on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon. Bail was set at $20,000.

• 7 p.m.: Edgar Sarabia, 30, of Carson City was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,000.

• 5 p.m.: A 36-year-old Fernley woman was arrested at the Carson City Jail on a failure-to-appear traffic warrant. Bail was set at $212.

• 12:40 p.m.: Jessica Whitstone, 24, of Carson City was arrested on Elm Street on suspicion of domestic battery. Bail was set at $5,000.

• 2 p.m.: A 43-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 400 block of East Park Street on suspicion of arrest of probationer. Bail was set at $3,000.

• 1:22 a.m.: A 19-year-old Carson City man was arrested at Bath and Curry streets on suspicion of criminal contempt. Bail was set at $500.

• 12:05 a.m.: A 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 1400 block of North Edmonds Drive on suspicion of discharging a firearm within city limits, possession of firearm while intoxicated, minor consuming alcohol, resisting a public officer without force and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $2,900. At the same location, a 21-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 12:56 a.m. on a failure-to-pay-fines warrant. Bail was set at $756.

• 2:11 p.m.: Jeffrey John Standefer, 37, of Carson City was arrested in the 700 block of Hot Springs Road on suspicion of felony burglary, ex-felon in possession of a firearm, felony possession of stolen property, misdemeanor possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, obstructing and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $71,050. Standefer was arrested at the Carson City Jail at 7 p.m. the next day on suspicion of failure to register as a sex offender. Bail was set at $7,500.

• 7:30 p.m.: A 26-year-old Gardnerville woman was arrested at the Carson City Jail on contempt-of-court and violation-of-conditions warrants. Bail was set at $1,834.

• 7:30 p.m.: A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested at the Carson City Jail on a contempt-of-court warrant. Bail was set at $3,000.

• 9 p.m.: Tyler Eugene Lawson, 23, was arrested in the 100 block of Corbett Street on suspicion of a probation and parole violation, as well as an alternative-sentencing violation. No bail was set.

• 12:20 p.m.: A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 2600 block of Silver Sage Drive on a violation-of-a-suspended-sentence warrant, as well as on suspicion of no valid license, open container of alcohol and speeding. Bail was set at $3,245. A 23-year-old Carson City man also was arrested, on suspicion of open container, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal contempt. Bail was set at $2,200.

• 12:31 a.m.: Michelle Koutsoudis, 40, was arrested at Clear Creek Avenue and Carson Street on suspicion of DUI, driving with a suspended or revoked licence and failure to maintain lane, as well as on a failure-to-appear warrant. Bail was set at $2,734.

• 12:05 a.m.: Matthew Karl Bryant, 24, of Dayton was arrested at the Carson City Jail on suspicion of first-degree domestic battery.

The Nevada Appeal only names people arrested on suspicion of felonies, violent crimes and DUIs.
