Mumbo Gumbo to headline concert

David Walley’s Hot Springs Resort and Spa will feature Mumbo Gumbo in its second annual community concert 5 p.m. June 28 on the resort’s amphitheater lawn.

Local artist Tynan Phillips will play from 6 to 7 p.m., with Mumbo Gumbo taking the stage at 7:30 p.m.

Mumbo Gumbo plays a mix of rock, soul, afro-pop, Zydeco and country.

The seven-piece band features an accordion, a washboard, a saxophone, a boogie piano and a rhythm section.

Guests are invited to bring blankets and low-backed chairs. Barbecue dinner combinations will be available for $15. The Restaurant and Saloon will be open during the event. Reservations are encouraged.

Admission to the concert is free. VIP tickets are available for $45 per person and include reserved seating, dinner, a drink and priority access to the food and beverage stations.
