Lake Tahoe is just now the most popular place of resort to tourists. Mart Reese, who went up with a party yesterday and returned last evening, reports the road by Kings canyon in excellent condition and the trip a delightful one. Visitors are stopping at Glenbrook and the mills are all running to capacity.

To The Editor of the Appeal: I have recently noticed an article which does me great injustice. It states I catch fish with an electric light and want only to destroy trout in Lake Tahoe. I had brought the light to look for the petrified forest you mentioned some weeks ago. I found the forest and hope to get a photograph.” Signed, C.H. The motorcycle races billed for yesterday in Reno came to a sudden close when Charles Wheeler of Tonopah was thrown from his machine and badly injured. He was taken to a hospital, where it is expected he will recover.

Ice box ceiling prices are now in effect, according to Dr. Ernest L. Inwood, Nevada district price officer of the office of price administration. Ice boxes range from $27.50 to $88.50.

Carson City resident Mrs. Harry Mighels was elected and installed to the office of supreme chaplain at the 47th session of the Supreme Daughters of the Nile held in Reno.

A T-18 experimental single engine airplane crashes off the shallow waters of Pope Beach in South Lake Tahoe. Two people were killed in the crash.
