Campbell to advise on tax issues with Ferraro Group The Ferraro Group, a public relations and public affairs company, has announced tax consultant Barbara Smith Campbell will affiliate her company, Consensus, with The Ferraro Group and will be available during the 2013 Nevada Legislature to provide exclusive legislative tax review and analysis to the firm’s existing and future clients. Under the affiliation, Campbell will not work as a lobbyist. Prior to forming Consensus, Campbell served for 10 years as the Chairman of the Board of the Nevada Tax Commission. She served on the Nevada Tax Commission for 5 consecutive four-year terms. She was first appointed by Gov. Richard Bryan and subsequently by Govs. Bob Miller and Kenny Guinn. Campbell currently serves as a Board Member of American Pacific Corporation and Advisory Board Member of AMERCO and as a trustee of the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. She was appointed by Gov. Sandoval to the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange and later elected chairman by the exchange board. She also serves as Chairman of the Board of Nevada Taxpayers Association and a member of the Community Board of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. Small business workshop March 12NV Energy, the Nevada Small Business Development Center, U.S. Small Business Administration and the Nevada Office of Economic Development will sponsor a workshop for small and diverse businesses from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 12 in the Sierra Plaza Auditorium of NV Energy, 6100 Neil Road in Reno.The workshop is recommended for businesses with goods and services that fit the needs of an energy company. She has been in the real estate and auction industry since 2000 and is Nevada’s exclusive member of Cabela’s Trophy Properties. LoPresti has been a member of the California State Auctioneers Association for five years and has served on the board of directors for the past four. She has held the position of vice president for the past two years, has chaired the Convention Planning Committee and has been a member of the Membership and Technology Committees. Currently, LoPresti heads the Association Technology Committee.
