Celebrate the Easter season with the Western Nevada College Latino Student Club’s Easter Fiesta. The fourth annual event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 30, in the Rotary Plaza at the WNC Carson City Campus. Families with children of all ages will enjoy coloring eggs, face painting, an egg hunt, bunny limbo, musical chairs and more. The event is about more than just fun, Latino Club adviser Lupe Ramirez says. “While the Fiesta allows families to enjoy a fun event in a safe environment, it’s also an opportunity to increase awareness about college,” she said. “It’s never too early to start talking to children about continuing their education. We want the kids to say, ‘Oh, this is college, this is where I want to come.’ That’s one of our goals.”Attendees are invited to bring a camera and take a picture with the WNC Wildcat mascot. Admission is $1 for ages 5 and younger, and $4 for adults and children 6 and older. Admission includes unlimited children’s game play.
