Carson City Road Report for May 13-19

The following information applies to May 13-19:

Monday through Friday, Lompa Lane will be closed between U.S. Highway 50 East and Menlo Drive. Detours will be marked. In addition, JAC bus routes 2A and 2B will be re-routed to follow the detour route and the bus stops on Lompa Lane and Menlo Drive will be temporarily closed during the road closure.

On Friday, May 17, the northbound lane on Research Way will be closed from College Parkway to Goni Road. Detours will be marked, and the southbound lane will remain open.

There will be road work on Long Street between Roop Street and Molly Drive. No delays are expected.

Due to continued construction of the Carson City Freeway project, Snyder Avenue is closed between East Roland Street and Center Drive. Center and Silver Sage drives also are closed south of Appion Way. Bennett Avenue is closed between Center and Bigelow drives. Detours will be marked.

Utility work for various projects will occur on the following roads; minor delays are possible:

Fairview Drive from Highway 50 to Edmonds Drive;

Edmonds Drive from Fairview Drive to Snyder Avenue;

Hot Springs Road from Carson Street to Roop Street;

Goni Road from Arrowhead Drive to Old Hot Springs Road;

Old Hot Springs Road from Goni Road to the west terminus;

Curry Street from Musser Street to Washington Street;

Washington Street from Curry Street to Carson Street.

Special events will close the following roads Saturday:

Telegraph Street will be closed from Curry Street to Nevada Street from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Musser Street will be closed from Pratt Avenue to Harbin Avenue, and Harbin Avenue will be closed at the Musser Street intersection from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
