Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
FRIDAY
8:58 a.m.: A 50-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 600 block of Hot Springs Road on suspicion of educational neglect. Bail: $352.
12:55 p.m.: A 32-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office on two Sparks non-sufficient-funds warrants. Bail: $840.75.
1 p.m.: Four people were arrested on various charges and warrants after deputies attempted to arrest a man on a felony warrant. While investigating, the officers obtained a search warrant and wrote in the arrest report that up to a pound of methamphetamine may have been flushed down the toilet at the motel where they four were arrested, in the 1000 block of South Carson Street. Steven Gillim, 56, of Sacramento was arrested on suspicion of possession of a dangerous drug without a prescription, with bail set at $2,500. A 29-year-old Carson City woman was arrested on suspicion of violation of a suspended sentence and obstructing, with bail set at $1,437. A 32-year-old Carson City man was arrested on a violation-of-a-suspended-sentence warrant, with bail set at $3,000. A 34-year-old Dayton man was arrested on suspicion of obstructing, with bail set at $437.
2 p.m.: Hailey Ortez, 19, of Sparks was arrested at the Sheriff’s Office after turning herself in on an animal-torture warrant. Bail: $1,000.
8:33 p.m.: Bob Cryderman, 56, and Vincent Morenz, 49, were arrested in the 600 block of South Roop Street. Both reportedly told Special Enforcement Team deputies that a fight over a deal to sell marijuana soured. Morenz allegedly told deputies he went to purchase $250 of marijuana from Cryderman. They said Cryderman then became violent and pointed a loaded pistol at Morenz’s head, stating he was going to kill him, followed Morenz back to his apartment and then pointed the gun at him again. Morenz said he then tackled Cryderman, took the pistol and beat him.
Cryderman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm while intoxicated and possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, with bail set at $58,847.
Morenz was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act, possession of marijuana and battery, with bail set at $21,774.
9:10 p.m.: Ricoberto Rodriguez, 29, of Carson City was arrested in the 3800 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of DUI and driving without a valid license. Bail: $1,319.
11:54 p.m.: Marcos Martinez, 27, of Carson City was arrested at Diamond Avenue and Agate Drive on suspicion of DUI, possession of marijuana, speeding 21 mph or over and failure to obey a stop sign. Martinez drove through a stop sign at 65 mph in a 35 mph zone, according to the arrest report. Bail was set at $2,123.
SATURDAY
12:09 a.m.: A 49-year-old Minden man was arrested in the 5600 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of violation of the conditions of a suspended sentence. Bail: $3,000.
6:55 a.m.: An 18-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 2100 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of minor consuming alcohol. Bail: $237.
11:20 a.m.: A 25-year-old transient man turned himself in at the Carson City Jail on three warrants. Bail: $3,726.
1:30 p.m.: Two 18-year-old men, one from Carson City and one from Dayton, were arrested in the 3900 block of South Carson Street. The man from Dayton was arrested on suspicion of obstructing and harassment with bail set at $754, and the Carson City man was arrested on suspicion of obstructing with bail set at $407. A juvenile was also arrested.
3:52 p.m.: Jody Campos, 43, of South Lake Tahoe was arrested at William and Valley streets on suspicion of DUI drugs, reckless driving, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $3,648.
