Holiday bazaars are scheduled for Nov. 9 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and First United Methodist Church in downtown Carson City.
The annual events, which feature food and gifts appropriate for the holidays, begin in St. Peter’s at 8:30 a.m. and at First United Methodist a half-hour later. The St. Peter’s bazaar will run until 3:30 p.m., and First United Methodist’s until 2 p.m.
St. Peter’s is at Division and Telegraph streets. First United Methodist is to the south at Division and Musser streets.
The St. Peter’s bazaar will have a food room in the parish hall and library, plus hand-crafted gift items, note cards, and other fare, according to Karen Kish and other bazaar organizers. The church also will sell raffle tickets for a “High Desert, Deep Night” quilt, as well as gift certificates for a workshop next February featuring author and theologian Marcus Borg.
The United Methodist bazaar will offer crafts and gift fare, as well as a soup luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
