The eWomenNetwork Reno/Carson/Tahoe Chapter will hold its eighth annual holiday extravaganza dinner and fundraiser from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 22 in the Bill Harrah Room at Harrah’s, 219 N. Center St. in Reno. Doors open with informal networking at 5 p.m.
The holiday event offers a sit-down dinner and shopping opportunities from local artisans and vendors, as well as eWomenNetwork’s trademarked Accelerated Networking. A raffle will benefit local women and children’s charities. Vendor display tables are available.

Workshop about meat marketing set
The University of Nevada, Reno’s Center for Economic Development and the Western Nevada College Specialty Crop Institute will offer Business and Legal Strategies for Successful Collaborative Meat Marketing, a direct-marketing workshop for meat producers, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 16 at Western Nevada College, 2201 W. College Parkway. The workshop is the second in a series of five to be held through June of next year.
Luis Sierra, assistant director for the California Center for Cooperative Development; Jennifer Ott, project director for the University’s High Desert Farming Initiative and business counselor at the Nevada Small Business Development Center; and Wendy Baroli, owner of GirlFarm/Grow for Me Sustainable Farm, will present case studies of meat-marketing collaborations, including marketing cooperatives, the potential business structures for marketing collaborations and methods for limiting liability.
