Aug. 11, 1948 - Oct. 2, 2013

Cheryl Armstrong (Tovey) went home to be with the Lord on October 2nd, 2013, five months after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Her loving husband, Phil Armstrong, was by her side when she passed. Cheryl’s final days were spent resting quietly in her home, eagerly waiting for the moment she met Jesus face-to-face.

Cheryl was born to Albert and Jean Tovey, August 11th 1948 in Toronto, Ontario. Cheryl was raised in Southern California and moved with her family to Carson City in 1981. Cheryl’s happiest days were spent lounging in the sun at Lake Tahoe with her two sons Bryan Ness and Scott Ness.

Cheryl was known as an energetic, warm, and outgoing person. She always had a song in her heart and was notorious for ruling the dance floor, much to her sons’ dismay. Now they find peace knowing she is dancing around God’s throne to the songs of a heavenly choir.

In addition to her husband and sons, Cheryl is survived by her sister, Susan Cervantes; nephews, Tim and James Ojeda, and grandchildren, Mylie and Joshua Ness. Cheryl’s family extends their profound gratitude to the loving friends and hospice nurses who made her final days comfortable. Rev 21:1-4

A Celebration of Life is set for October 19th at 2pm, Calvary Chapel Carson City, 1635 Clearview Dr Carson City, NV 89701.
