August 29, 1955 - October 11, 2013

Dan O. Homer, resident of Fallon, NV at age 58, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2013 at Renown Medical Center with his family by his side, after fighting a surprising 5 year battle with liver cancer.

Dan was born August 29, 1955 to Gene and Ethel Homer, was raised in Fallon, NV, attended Churchill County schools and graduated from CCHS in 1973.

In 1974 Dan married his longtime girlfriend, Sue. Together they raised their two children and had 8 grandchildren.

During high school Dan worked with his dad at their parts store known as P&H Auto Parts, until selling the business in June of 1990. Dan pursued his passion of heavy equipment and started his own business, know as Dan O Construction.

Dan had a lifetime passion of the outdoors, hunting, trapping, guiding, fishing, camping, boating and water skiing. He was a retired fireman, worked with the Sheriff’s Office and many other organizations.

Preceded in death by a baby sister, grandparents; mother-in-law, Helen Ellis. Dan is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sue; daughter, Amy; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jessica; grandchildren, Evan, Briana, Bransen, Tre, Aaliyah, Trenton, Colin and Jaxon; parents; sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Milton Wallace; brother and sister in-law, Bruce and Tami; six nieces and nephews; father in-law, Bob (Hollis) Ellis; closest friends, Dick (Patti) Fisk and brother-Ted (Lorretta) Guazzini.

A Celebration of life will be held Sunday, October 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fallon convention Center 100 Campus Way, Fallon, NV. There will be a pot luck luncheon, if you wish to bring you favorite dish or salad or dessert it would be greatly appreciated.

If any one has a story to tell or wish to say something to the family, but is unable to speak in a crowd, you can write it down and someone will read it for you.
