The Spoke Bar and Grill, 3198 N. Deer Run Road, 99 points. Ceiling ventilation grates were greasy and dirty.
La Enchilada, 2556 Rockbridge Drive, Suite 2, 97 points. A certified food handler was not on duty during the inspection.
Save Mart Supermarkets, grocery, 4348 S. Carson St., 96 points. The rear delivery doors had damaged seals at the bottom that could have allowed insects and rodents to enter.
McDonald’s, 3905 S. Carson St., 95 points. Biofilm was noted in the ice machine (repeat violation). The door of the ice machine was broken. There was an inadequate amount of disinfectant residual in the wiping rag storage bucket. The lids of garbage-storage containers and waste-grease barrels were left open (repeat violation). The waste storage area was not well-maintained and had spilled grease on the concrete base.
Subway, 100 W. Winnie Lane, 83 points. Employee drinks were stored improperly and without required tops in the food-preparation area. The men’s bathroom toilet was broken and unavailable to the public. The self-closer on the women’s bathroom door was not operating properly. The lids of garbage storage containers were open. The wall above the main food-preparation work table was damaged and difficult to keep clean. There was no proof of a certified food handler on duty.
