William (Bill) Hoffman, 81, passed away peacefully October 10, 2013. Bill was one of three children, born February 25, 1932 to George and Evelyn Hoffman. Bill was the founder of Retirees to Eliminate State Income Source Tax of America (RESIST) of AMERICA, saving millions of retirees from taxation without representation.

He is survived by brother, Alan and sister, Ruth; two sons, William Jr. and Robert along with four grandchildren. Bill was awarded 7 Hyland Patent awards through Hughes Aircraft in Culver City, CA. He was one of the original inventors of liquid crystal television. He was a 26 year resident of Carson City. Bill loved to bowl and was great at computers and fixing anything electrical around the house. He was an avid Raider’s fan, and loved all sports.

A private service will be held for immediate family at Walton’s Funeral Home.
