Rose Pike passed away in her home after a year of a long battle of bone marrow cancer. She was under the care of St. Mary’s Hospice and her sister Theresa for 3 weeks before going home to our Heavenly Father. She was born to Walter and Francis Klemish in Bridgeport Connecticut. She was Pre-ceded in death by her father, mother, brother Edward, and her great granddaughter Maddy Palmer.
She leaves behind sons, Ron Palmer of Tahoe City, Richard Palmer and wife Rhonda Glisson of Carson City, sister Theresa Russell and husband Charles of Connecticut, sister Irene Budyzenski also of Connecticut, granddaughters Rachel Palmer of Las Vegas, Mandi Palmer great grandson Dom of Minden, Nevada and her cousin Hank of Connecticut.
Rose worked most of her life in the field of Veterinary care. She had a deep passion for animals and was always rescuing as many as she could. She loved Lake Tahoe, sitting in the sun, painting, reading, gardening, and cooking wonderful meals that she shared with many.
She will be missed by many friends, family, and animals that she left behind. By honoring her wishes there will be no service.
