Martha Sue Glover, eighty years old passed away peacefully in her sleep at the home of her daughter in Lewiston, California. Martha joined her husband, son, mother and father in Heaven on August 29th, 2013.
Martha was the youngest of four. She had two brothers, Don and James Bland and one sister, Josephine. She was born in Arkansas on June 3rd 1933 to Bonnie and Elmer Bland. The family moved to California when Martha was nine years old. She graduated from Livermore High in 1952. Martha married Fayette “Skeeter” Glover on September 3rd 1953. They were happily married for fifty-three years before Skeeter passed away in July of 2007. Martha had two children, a daughter, Sue Anne and a son, James Earl Glover. James preceded her in death in the Spring of 2002. Martha and Skeeter resided in Livermore, California for many years before moving to Fallen Nevada in 1999.
Martha was a devoted disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. She was a women of great faith and enjoyed attending church, reading the bible and spending time with friends and family.
Martha Sue Glover is survived by her daughter, Sue Anne Spencer (husband, Richard Spencer); and her granddaughters, Summer Lea Thompson (husband, Robert Thompson) and Sandi Louise Glover (mother, Lucy Glover); and two great-granddaughters, Elizabeth Grace and Samantha Nicole Thompson.
Martha’s memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 8th at the Penticostal Church of God following morning church services. The memorial will be presided by Martha’s good friend and Pastor, Sister Jean Cox.
