James (Jimmy) Franklin Hunt Jr.

James (Jimmy) Franklin Hunt Jr. passed away on April 6, 2014 at his home in Fallon. Jimmy was born at Landstuhl Air Force Base, Germany on August 6, 1980. He joined the United States Army in 1997 where he served his country in Korea, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He was a Disabled Veteran. He moved to Fallon Nevada in 2011 where he attended Western Nevada College and was a member of several organizations in the area. Jimmy is survived by his son Ethan, sisters Jamie and Jessica in Washington State. Parents James and Mary, sister JacE all of Fallon, and grandmother Sherry in Florida. He was loved by his family and friends. He will be missed. A rosary will be held on Sunday April13, at 6:30 PM at St. Patrick’s catholic church in Fallon. A mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 14 at 11:00AM also at St. Patrick’s. Inurnment will follow the mass at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley at 1:00PM with military honors. Arrangements by Smith Family Funeral Home and Crematory, Fallon, 423-2255.
