Jean Hillman

Eddy Jean Hillman, 90, of Carson City passed away on July 31, 2014. Jean was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee where she attended Southwestern College. Jean was married to George Hillman, Jr. for 66 years until his passing in 2012. Jean and George raised their family in Michigan where Jean owned and operated Hillman Real Estate. They retired to Florida and then moved to Carson City 19 years ago. Jean was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Carson City. She was an avid golfer, loved to play cards and nickel poker at the slot machines and was an active resident of Carson Plaza Independent Living where she called home for the last 2 years. Jean is survived by her son, Bud (George) Hillman and daughter-in-law, Michelle; grandchildren, Danner Hillman and Emily Hillman all of Gardnerville; and her daughter, Deborah Hillman and daughter-in-law, Beth Evesong of Hilo, Hawaii. There will be a funeral service at Walton’s Chapel of the Valley, Carson City on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Internment at the Lone Mountain Cemetery will follow the service.
