‘Send a Scout to Camp’ Car and Truck show Aug. 16

BSA Troop 33 is excited to announce it will host the “Send a Scout to Camp” Car and Truck Show fundraiser on Aug. 16 at Fuji Park.

The show will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with an awards ceremony at 3.

Registration is $40 per entry. There is still time for pre-registration or you can register on the day of the event. Each participant will get a T-shirt, one meal, and dash plaque.

Voting will be “People’s choice” — first through fifth place in the truck category and first through fifth place in the car category. Additional awards include largest car or truck club participation, participant who traveled the farthest distance, and Scouts’ Choice in each category.

The Carson City Rotary will provide the food service at this event and will be fundraising for its charitable causes as well.

There will be three auctions throughout the day of various items valued between $20 to $140. Music, vendors, a Bonneville race car, custom cars and fire truck on display.

All proceeds assist each Scout to participate in various Boy Scout activities — such as camp outs — which help the Scout earn merit badges, achieve rank advancements, purchase Scout uniforms and purchase equipment.
