Maruine Viola Duarte

Maurine Duarte, a longtime resident of Gardnerville, passed away in Folsom, CA after a long illness. Maurine was born on December 12, 1934 to John and Ethel Philipsen in San Diego, CA. She and her husband Cliff built South Tahoe Construction and worked side by side until his death in 1991, when she moved to Reno. Maurine was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ethel Philipsen and her husband, Clifford Duarte. She is survived by her children; Gordon Duarte of Carson City, Kathy (Patrick) Ryan of Gautier, MS, Philip (Jodie) Duarte of Dayton, Laura Thiesen of Glennallen AK, and Toni (Jerry) Moring of Folsom CA; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A service of internment will take place on August 16, 2014 at 10 AM at Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery and Mausoleum , 2700 North Virginia St. Reno NV.
