Carson High golfer Dalton Butler shot 73 to tie for second at the Whalen Tournament of Champions last Thursday at Dayton Valley Golf Club.
Butler, Conner Motherway and Harrison Holetz all shot 73s in the boys 15-17 event. Motherway was placed first via a tiebreaker. Nicholas Turner and Presley Mackelburg tied for fourth with 76s.
Dylan Menante shot 76 to win the boys 13-14 title, one stroke better than KC Daylo. Katrina Prendergast won the girls 13-17 crown with a 74, four shots better than Samantha Sorenson.
