A heartfelt thanks goes out to all who assisted RSVP in making this year’s 4th of July fireworks display and Carnival such a success. The pyrotechnic display presented by Fireworks by Grucci along with the synchronized musical accompaniment was one of a kind and truly remarkable. What a wonderful way to celebrate our nation’s independence. We are so glad that you were able to join us!
None of this would have been possible without our amazing sponsors and I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and to thank them. The City of Carson City and the Board of Supervisors, Carson City Toyota-Scion, Northern Nevada Toyota Dealers Association; The Carson Nugget; Gold Dust West Carson City; Carson City Visitors Bureau; Wold Amusements; our wonderful friends at NV Energy; Café at Adeles; Alpine Insurance; Carson Tahoe Regional Healthcare; Geeks of Nevada; Carson High School; the Nevada Appeal and the Mayne, Gregory, Girard, Hopp, Coley, Tamori, Mabray, Jahn, Johnson, Miller and Grange Families. We are also deeply appreciative of the volunteers who helped with the day to day operations and those who gave of their time to help man the RSVP booth and help pour beer!
Sheriff Kenny Furlong and the Carson City Sheriff, Reserve and Explorers were great and their presence made for a family friendly, fun experience. Thanks also are in order to the wonderful staff at Carson City Parks and Recreation for the use of Mills Park and to Chief Stacey Giomi and the men and women of the Carson City Fire Department. Thank you Ryan Nutter and Jake Armer of Cumulus Radio, Magic 95.5 FM for your outstanding live radio show and media promotion of the event. Thank you Chris Causey for the excellent work with the live remote and sound system. It takes a lot to put on a special event like this and I would also like to recognize Tannis Causey, RSVP’s Fair Manager, for her hard work.
RSVP relies on events such as the July 4th Celebration and Carnival to provide funding for programs of assistance provided by volunteers which enable seniors and disabled persons to remain independent and in their own homes with dignity.
