A poem to Robin Williams
A dark angry sky. A bird soars with the wind.
We loose another to the ages. Now the Genie’s life begins.
A gift to all he gave of himself with all his love.
The smiles he put on our faces. Now the angels are smiling from above.

Suicide and mourning over Robin Williams
As I continue to mourn the loss of multi-talented comedian Robin Williams, it brings to light about the overall subject of suicide. I, too, have struggled for years with depression, disloyalty from certain friends, rejection and heartache. In the end, it’s very easy for a person to just push it all down by self-medicating with drugs or alcohol. However, I never did either of those things. But there were moments when I hit my rock bottom and was almost tempted to end it all. Instead, I took a step back and thought about the overall consequences. I realized that there was everything to live for, so I chose to face each battle head on. I successfully graduated high school
and managed to hold down the same job for almost 17 years. And as I continue to push 40 years old, I still have so much more to accomplish. One of those goals is to drive cross country to other states. I will never take my own life no matter what bad things happen to me. It is extremely important for me to see the positive in every experience, even when the odds are insurmountable.
