Robert Leon Gilder

Robert Leon Gilder passed away Renown Medical Center on August 19, 2014 of complications from COPD. He was born in Bend Oregon February 22, 1943 to Leon and Josine Gilder. The family moved here in 1957 when Bob was in eight grade, he graduated from Churchill County High school in 1961.Bob started working for Kennametal when they were at Rawhide. He came with them when the move was made to Fallon. He was a lab tech, a career that lasted for 47 years. Preceded in death by his father, Leon; mother and step-father Josine and Avon Derrick; sister, Peggy; brother Jim Saxton; nieces, Barbara and Sandy; nephew, Jimmy Saxton. Bob is survived by his companion of 31 years, Judy Pritchard and a large extended family. Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Churchill County Cemetery.
